Justin Kephart is a versatile painter and draftsman who works in Oils, Egg Tempera, Pencil and Pastels. Most of his work is figurative, leaning towards Symbolist and Surrealist painting styles and he incorporates classical oil painting techniques to help give form to his imagination.

Through art Justin explores the imaginal world and he attempts to learn the language of this world by working with myths, symbols, and his own dreams. For Justin, art is the science of exploring our unconscious and by incorporating mythologies of a multiplicity of cultures and by bringing attention to his own dreams and fantasies, which are our individual myth-makers, Justin is attempting to know this mysterious other side of ourselves and to genuinely represent the spontaneous myth arising within his own mind.
