Agnieszka Gzyl – Q2 Art Competition – Artist Portfolio Magazine

Agnieszka Gzyl is a Polish artist who’s original technique, using silicone on canvas, speaks to the observer’s senses of sight and touch. Born in 1972 in Warsaw, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Władysław Strzeminski in Lodz, Poland with a master’s degree, soon to have a doctorate.

Having a degree in architecture, Agnieszka worked at a commercial real estate company for 17 years. She participated in designing interiors and facades of shopping centers and shop windows.

While taking a course to learn how to paint, she discovered that she was very good at it.Now she is under procedurę of reaching doctor title at the Sorzeminski Academy Of Fine Art in Łódź.

In 2011 she left the corporate world and moved to Paris where she had her first exhibition. In 2012 she moved to Milan, Italy and had another exhibition. Associating with some of the most talented artists in Europe, helped her decide that being an artist was what she wanted in life.

Agnieszka has already done almost 30 exhibitions, the most recent in United States – Jeff Mitchum Gallery – La Jolla, CA, May 2017, in Łódź – Poland, May 2017 and Budapest, March 2017. She has three more exhibitions scheduled this summer; two in Poland and one in London.

Later this year she is planning on moving to the United States to further her art career.
