Yona Yurwit is an emerging pencil artist in Philadelphia. In Love Poems, a mixed media series of mandala-inspired drawings, she explores natural cycles and the connections between all things. She takes special interest in the transformative possibilities of death (such as a decaying animal breaking down to nourish a garden) and the role of humans as part of the natural world.
