I became captivated with photography at an early age. My first recollection of it becoming a serious passion happened when my grandad gave his Leicaflex over to me in my teenage years. I then started spending many mornings, afternoons and evenings in my friend’s darkroom producing and practicing the art of black and white photography.

In 1989 my perspective and attitude changed completely when I visited New York City for the first time. Street photography started playing a pivotal role and became a reoccurring theme in my work; capturing everyday people and places became an obsession. NYC also managed to influence the use of colour and I saw himself adjust to the big city, the crowds and the excitement, portraying all of this in colour and shying away from my beloved black and white photographs. NYC also became responsible for my move into a digital era, replacing film camera with a more contemporary instrument.

After exhibiting in New York, Frankfurt and London, I do now live and practice in London, United Kingdom since 2014. Since 2015 my works are part of the portfolio of the Imitate Modern Gallery, London.

I still create street photography with a twist, where I pay a lot of attention when it comes to the contact and interaction of people and their surroundings. One of my works, “Mouthwatering” was featured in the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition, 2016.
