STATEMENT:
This series of paintings called On Pink – consisting on oil and beeswax on canvas – represents the feminine world surrounding the artist which communicates strength through intense color and visuals and explores how pre-determined social roles force labels upon women. The materials I use and the conception of the image are an expression of an inner world, which I intend to express as a way of seeing life and a way to look inside ourselves.BIO:
Born and raised in Madrid, where I started my career as an abstract painter. Since 2009, I have been living and working in New York City, where I have further developed my art career and transited towards figurative abstraction.
