As a painter, I am an Abstract Surreal Expressionist. I paint primarily in oils and am experimenting with acrylics, textural gels and other mixed media and surfaces. I am inspired by my spiritual beliefs, life experiences, travels, observations of nature, people and places, the Holy Scriptures, poetry, quotes, and an in the moment experimental process to reveal a genuine and expressive painting. All these elements are found in my work as I paint in my studio and on site Plein Air.
My goal is to integrate my oil painting, experiments with acrylics and poetry. Listening to music, sounds and sounds of nature accompany my methods
in the studio.

What sets my paintings apart is my ability to approach my work from “outside the box” and tap into the abstract, surreal and expressionist zone simultaneously and individually. What drives me is a genuine intent to attain the integrity of my creative process in each of my paintings. I believe art is a gift and responsibility given to me as an artist for a breath of time to nurture, share, study and create to reveal, express and expose the truth. A way of being and a way of being with my Creator. My approach and intent accomplish the authentic quality found in my art and evokes a range of perspectives and emotions from the viewer.
