I am an expressionist artist and my work is concerned not with objective reality but is metaphorical — telling a story through the symbolism of life. I strive to evoke reactions either positive or negative. Distortion, exaggeration, and fantasy are the filters through which I paint the modern world. My work is not conventional, academic, or the new modernism. I am creating a new avant-garde.

I believe in equality and I want my work to reflect that. The stories in my paintings are situations that everyone faces equally, I paint them from the female perspective because, unfortunately, women are still targeted unfairly so I put them front and center to, in my way, show that we are all equal.
