Welcome to Artist Portfolio Magazine. By accessing or using our website, becoming a member, or submitting artwork, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. About Artist Portfolio Magazine

Artist Portfolio Magazine ("APM", "we", "us", or "our") is an independent quarterly art magazine and membership platform that showcases established and emerging artists across all mediums. Our services include digital and print magazine publication, member portfolios, competition entries, and related editorial content.

2. Membership

Tiers and pricing

We offer the following membership tiers:

• Free — $0/month. Limited entries per competition.
• Portfolio — $9/month. Three entries per competition, cover eligibility, digital magazine access.
• Print — $24/month. Unlimited entries, guaranteed page in every issue, mailed collector's copy.
• Founding Digital — $6/month. Founding Member pricing locked for life. Limited-time offering before July 1, 2026.
• Founding Print — $17/month. Founding Member pricing locked for life. Limited-time offering before July 1, 2026.

Founding Member benefits

Founding Members who sign up before July 1, 2026, receive a dedicated page spread in Issue 55 (subject to artwork submission by the June 20, 2026 deadline) and ongoing eligibility for our recurring Founders Spotlight feature. Founding Member pricing is locked at the rate selected at signup and will never increase for the duration of an active subscription.

Billing

Paid memberships are billed monthly through Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your member dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on initial membership purchases. After the first 30 days, payments are non-refundable, but you may cancel future billing at any time.

3. Artwork Submissions and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership

You retain all copyright and ownership rights to artwork you submit. Submitting work to APM does not transfer ownership.

What you grant us

By submitting artwork, you grant Artist Portfolio Magazine a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• Reproduce and display your work in print and digital editions of the magazine
• Display your work on our website, including artist profiles and editorial features
• Use your work for promotional purposes related to the issue in which it appears
• Archive your work in our past issues catalogue

This license is perpetual for material that appears in published issues. For material that does not appear in an issue, the license terminates if you delete the work from your portfolio.

What you must guarantee

By submitting work, you confirm that:

• The work is original and created by you
• You hold all necessary rights to submit and license it
• The work does not infringe on any third-party rights
• The work does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or harmful content

Editorial discretion

APM reserves the right to accept or reject any submission at our editorial discretion. We may decline to publish work that does not align with our editorial standards.

4. Member Conduct

By using APM, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating an account
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Not engage in fraudulent voting, spamming, or manipulation of platform features
• Respect other artists, members, and contributors
• Not upload offensive, illegal, or harmful content

Violation of these conduct standards may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

5. Community Voting (when applicable)

Some issues feature community voting on submitted artwork. By opting into voting, you understand that:

• Vote rankings will be publicly visible during the voting period
• Once opted in, you cannot opt out of voting
• APM reserves the right to disqualify suspicious vote patterns
• Top vote-getters receive featured pages in upcoming issues

6. Privacy

We respect your privacy. We collect only the information necessary to provide our services: name, email, billing details (processed by Stripe), and submitted artwork. We do not sell your personal data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card information on our servers. Your payment details are subject to Stripe's terms of service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violation of these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

Upon termination, your subscription will not be renewed, but published work will remain in the magazine archive.

9. Limitation of Liability

Artist Portfolio Magazine is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to members via email. Continued use of APM after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
