Read More Issue 42 | Selected Artists AnnouncedBeauty is the main reason and purpose for my art. I spare no obstacle in both challenging and expressing the power and mystery of beauty.
My favorite media are acrylics and watercolor. The subject matter are birds in their real or mythological interaction with the human universe. I strive to depict the dualistic nature of reality, conscious and subconscious states of the mind, and to create examples of modern mythology. My paintings explore a dream-conscious state in order to increase a depth of perception and to develop a poetic world view.

As a faithful and respectful learner, then successor of legendary master’s vision, style and performance, loved very much traditional choice of medium and ground his own colors. And after colossal dedication to art, some times, 72 hours nonstop painting or drawing, unintentionally or maybe subconsciously created unique, unrepeatable style and technique in post divisionism and ink drawings, never observed before.
Below, are Atom’s own understanding and description of his art works in these particular two styles:

It is an exploration of candy-colored sensual puzzles printed on metallic paper on the back side of clear plexiglas. Viewers are drawn in closer to feel comforted yet disturbed, to wonder if it is science fiction or science illustration, mythology or an updated version of Titian’s master paintings. Tensions are created with hints of sensuality but paused at the detachment.

He continues to give a lot of personality to his way of painting trying to break the ways of expressing the drawing and the way of giving color. Searching within his creative instinct in painting that desire of any painter to create his own style.
A large painting exhibition called “1920s” has been presented to us in Stockholm and Madrid a month ago but with the originality that the painter Franck has shared his work with another painter Asun Glez doing both paintings. Some of his works will be exhibited at Art Basel Miami.

I strive to evoke reactions either positive or negative. Distortion, exaggeration, and fantasy are the filters through which I paint the modern world. My work is not conventional, academic, or the new modernism. I am creating a new avant-garde.
I believe in equality and I want my work to reflect that. The stories in my paintings are situations that everyone faces equally, I paint them from the female perspective because, unfortunately, women are still targeted unfairly so I put them front and center to, in my way, show that we are all equal.

Read More Featured Artist | Robert BrownMy works are an interpretation of a voyage to self-discovery seen through the eyes of retained memories. Memories are the driving force that sculpt my paintings. When placed onto the canvas, the sequences of these memories intermingle to expose, at times, a sense of uniformity while, at other times, a juxtaposition of emotions, perceptions and a melded reality.
