Artist Portfolio Magazine – 2017 Q4 Art Competition

My name is Francisco H. Gadea Aviles. I was born in Nicaragua in 1958. I grew up amongst a family of artist, writers and singers. My father, also named Francisco Heriberto Gadea Mantilla has accomplished a great career as a landscaping artist and played a major role tutoring me in painting and drawing all throughout my childhood. I moved to Canada 21 years ago and I now live in Vancouver B.C with my wife and my four children. Through them I have learned the meaning of real love and solidarity.

Since I began painting, I experienced a strong inspiration and passion for love, feelings and a simple life that I try to express in my own unique way. Each time I begin painting, I fill my pallet with colour and let my creative imagination feel the experience of real freedom just like when the earth lets the volcano erupt and explode free.

I strongly believe that each artist has a great message for the world. Our expressions, ways and styles of painting are the words of those who can’t speak, those who can’t cry, those who can’t smile, those who can’t love, and those who died without the opportunity to live.
