Artist Portfolio Magazine – 2017 Q4 Art Competition
Kira Od – Sunnyvale, CA
Born 1960, New York City. My real talent is imitating animals; but I also have a knack for drawing, painting, and sculpting, which gives me the uncanny ability to not make enough money to survive. My ink portraits of Trump provide a valuable emotional outlet for those of us who are freaked out by the outrageously dishonest, racist, sexist creep who managed to become President in 2016. This work can be seen on a bumper sticker. My other artwork is less accessible, as it’s in private collections in the US, Canada, the UK, and Poland. My “Mr. Olympia Medal” is in the permanent collection of the American Numismatic Association’s Money Museum in Colorado Springs, CO; and my painting, “John Lautner: Portrait of an Architect,” is in the permanent collection of the DeVos Art Museum in Marquette, MI. Perhaps my greatest achievement is that my dog believes I’m one of the best artists, ever.
