Artist Portfolio Magazine’s 10 Art Competition
Barbara Jean Lloyd – Danbury, CT
Art may be sweets for the eyes but it is also music for the soul. When I do handpainting within a digital program, I try to let the artwork take control of my hand and move it to the rhythm of what it is trying to say. Digital painting seems to creat a constant, dynamic movement in the artwork which is exciting because, each time you view the piece, you can find something new to explore.
In my mixed media digital work, I lay out clippings and bits – bottle caps, paint brushes, tinsel, etc. – which I photograph and import into a paint program where I paint, enhance, use filters to create the final artwork.
