Wesly Alvarez is an Artist and Art educator living and working in Miami, Florida. Wesly Alvarez received his Master of Fine Arts from Miami International University of Art in 2011 where he wrote his thesis on the subject of narrative painting. Wesly Alvarez received his BS in art education from Florida International University.
Wesly’s artwork has been exhibited in multiple shows throughout Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and New York City. Alvarez’s paintings have been published in Artist Portfolio Magazine where he received honorable mention for his use of classical painting technique. In 2014 his images were featured during Art Basel Miami at the North of Modern exposition. Recently he was honored by his home city of Doral with accolades for artistic excellence. A classical figurative painter, Wesly’s continued experimentation with the emotive qualities of the human form is deeply connective and symbolic of our collective human narrative.
