Viewing good art sustains and inspires me. My creations come from a zone inside my spirit buried deep, permeable to impressions, subconscious nudges and taps. I want to take something and press it through the strainer that is my mind and make it MINE. Such a wrenching process! Decision upon decision, lay it out, color washes, what color? Mixing, rubbing it out, laying it on, loving it hating it. Walking away from it, walking back to it. Love it, hate it.

Sometimes I abandon them,or tear them up or rip canvas off stretchers and throw them in the trash.
Never to be viewed,they are murdered, or left to languish in the dark.
No matter…
I will continue to paint on since I picked up a brush again 2 years ago. AND – I wont stop because its all for me really anyway. So selfish. Sorry but its true. I only paint because I want to.
