Artist Portfolio Magazine’s 20 Art Competition
I’m an artist, teacher, entrepreneur, and passionate human being dedicated to leading a purposeful life.
I specialize in abstract art, especially the energy, motion, and flow of alcohol inks. I have 20 years as an educator, hold a Ph.D in education, love teaching students of all levels, and taking my art to new levels.
I believe in the value of sharing our talents and giving back to inspire others to grow.
Alexis Bonavitacola lives with passion. She is a self-taught artist and entrepreneur. Her art is an extension of that passion, regardless of the medium in which she works.
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Ms. Bonavitacola specializes in abstract art, and creates magical experiences that exude a sense of wonder. She works primarily in alcohol inks and encaustic wax. In alcohol inks, she creates haunting landscapes and panoramic scenes through layering and blending of colors. In encaustic wax, she evinces rich colors and striking three-dimensional textural representations, by experimenting with layered molten wax. All of her art captures energy, motion, and flow.
Ms. Bonavitacola’s art was recently on exhibit at the renowned Morris Museum in Morristown, New Jersey from March 11 through June 18, 2017.
