Featured Artist Joey Serricchio – Glendale, CA Instagram I believe that the greatest irony is human emotion. Something a delicate feeling can cause traumatizing violence to ourselves and others. Hot Mouth Medium Oil sponged on canvas Size 36"x48"

Blakelee Harmon is an emerging artist based in New York City who has dedicated her life to creating work that bonds human souls. She developed her sense of composition first through dance, exploring movement and stillness, music and silence, light and darkness, giving and taking, boundaries and abandon. Blakelee attended Marymount Manhattan for a bachelor’s degree in dance media where she also trained in oil painting and photography. She began using each of these mediums in tandem to explore concepts and inform the finished piece of work, and continues to use this method. Whatever strikes her in her daily routine is recorded and reflected in the chapter of each painting she is working on.

Spring Medium Oil and dry pigment on linen Size 30” x 40”

Having graduated from Parsons School of Design in 83′, the rebirth of figuration and expressionism became influential to me as it was to so many of the same generation. Painters from Thomas Nozkowski to Tadanori Yokoo, as well as earlier artists such as Leon Kossoff, Forrest Bess and Philip Guston have also helped in establishing an aesthetic direction. Painting is a tactical experience involving a myriad of ideas, approaches and fundamentally problem solving at its base. Although modest in size, the use of color, form and gesture are tools utilized to generate a feeling of scale.

Red Top Bait Shop Medium Oil on canvas Size 16x20"

Crista Goble Bromley is an award-winning artist from the Texas Hill Country. She works primarily in oils but is also accomplished in watercolor, acrylic and pastels. As a descendant of noted artists and musicians she was surrounded by art and music since birth. She also studied fine arts at Victoria College and the University of Texas at Austin. While much of her early career focused on portraiture her interests expanded over the years and her subjects also include landscapes, animal portraiture, still life and historical representation. Most of her paintings are traditional to realism with a nod toward the highly detailed work of hyper-realism. According to Bromley, portraiture still holds a special place in her heart, noting, “I strive to make my portraits more than just a reflection of the person or animal. I want to see the character of the subject in the artwork. Whether it is a person or an animal I want their personality shine to through. That is the real satisfaction in portraiture.” While she loves portraiture she also enjoys the challenges of other subject matter as well. “I love to take a blank canvas and watch something grow on it. The process seems to have a life of its own,” she says. Bromley has been recognized by a number of national and international galleries. She currently has historical representations hanging in governmental buildings across Texas. Dahlias on 4th & Washington Medium Oil on Wood Size 20 X 17 in

I’m Amy O’Hearn, a New Orleans artist who works from my home studio. Art has saved my soul. For years, I had no inspiration, I felt constrained by my job and completely drained every day. Until I started painting. Through a meditative and intuitive approach, I have unleashed my creativity. I thrive on the risk and spontaneity of not having a plan before I start to paint, I clear my mind and let the colors and the brush take me away. I find it very fulfilling when other people interpret my art, noticing things I haven’t. When possible I like to name my paintings after the visions others see.

As an Artist I believe that every empty canvas calls my soul to interpret what I see and feel to create pieces that speak to me and the viewer. My medium of choice is oil and my work frequently includes different brush techniques which allows me the precision to render true to life expression and detail of people. My passion for Art and creativity has emerged and evolved over the years and it is my desire to share my creations and leave a lasting impression to those who view them.

Featured Artist – Wenkai Li

Lost Medium Photography Size 11''x14''

Wenkai Li was born in Shenzhen, China in 1993. She received her MFA in Photographic and Electronic Media from Maryland Institute College of Art (2018). She is a photographer and video creator. For now, she lives in Manhattan, New York. In my artworks, I want to talk about the relationship between the real world and the ideal world. I think the ideal world is always present form people’s spiritual and dreams are the continuation of life and diffusion of perception. So I always use a dream as an entry point. I want to create my own dreamland, which is fulfilled with my personal emotion and my understanding of time, space, and emotion. For me, idealism is a pursuit based on belief. Idealism must be based on the spiritual level, but it does not exclude material. Then, idealism is closely linked with faith and it always from some places where have belief. With the development of society, people become more and more realism because of some specifical reasons. I still remember a sentence from a famous fiction from China: everything is forced by life. If there are so many terrible things in our life, we have to face it. Because have to we face it so that we become realism. This behavior will make us forget the original dream form heart. I am not saying that realism is not good, I just want to say we live in a real world but we still need to keep something beautiful inner.

untitled I Medium oil, acrylic on canvas Size 30" x 24"

You can’t see it right now, but hovering right above your head, there’s a small, tornado-like elephant’s trunk beaming into your mentals. That cyclone absorbs a constant influx of thoughts, scents, conversations, mishaps, and pleasures. We internalize and process these stimuli differently, and thus we radiate different vibrations outward into our surroundings. We embrace these rhythms at the synapses in our brain, the tingling nerves at our fingertips…  …much like the rush of life that floods into your bloodstream with a deep breath, that which only magnifies as you slowly exhale… We share different components of the same engine, yet I cannot tell you everything I want to. I find I can better express my inner ruminations and provocations with a canvas than a turn of phrase. A stare into canvas is a snapshot into my dimensions. I trade diction and syntax for lines and color. I submit to the universe, and in return the universe embodies my every breath- my every step. With the flow of each stroke, I shout to the skies.
