Featured Artist – Paul Pinzarrone

This work is a series of new versions of The Penitent Magdalene, Callisto and a portrait of Isabella D Este. It is a depiction of shame, detachment and sorrowful sensuality. Thses are other-worldly and religious but with fractal tattoos of a goddess, vixens and a patron of the Renaissance. These are all digital, built with digital photography, fractal, flame and painting software, printed on metallic paper on plexiglas or high gloss aluminum. Each of these is inspired by the works of Titian, LaTour, Perugino and Caravaggio.

For as long as I can remember I have loved to draw and paint and it was always of some sort of animal, mainly horses, lots and lots of horses. I pursued a career in art and graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Advertising and a minor in Art. I ended up taking a very long hiatus to raise a house full of kids, but courtesy of a hip replacement in 2018, I have found my paintbrush again. In February of 2019, I attended a workshop in Kalispell Montana with renowned pastels artist Lesley Harrison, and have fallen head over heels in love with pastel painting. We had a photography workshop with 10 different amazing animals that will give me enough painting models for the rest of my life! Each painting is an adventure and helps me become a better artist. God has blessed me with a talent and I love sharing it with the world.

Featured Artist Joey Serricchio – Glendale, CA Instagram I believe that the greatest irony is human emotion. Something a delicate feeling can cause traumatizing violence to ourselves and others. I created these figures to embody the space between our abstract emotions and our physical violence. Feeling outside myself most of my life ironically gave me […]

I re-met painting at the height of a long career as Psychoanalyst, but it was a much older and earlier love: perhaps the first. As a girl I was practicing in the studios of artists, but then my life took a different path and for many years I worked in Psychosomatic Medicine, discovering the links between mind and body and the roots of physical and mental well-being. In addition to clinical practice I published many books, wrote hundreds of articles and conducted courses, and I still do, but my love for painting continued to re-emerge in other forms, driving me to explore the symbolic meaning of colours and their psycho-physical effects in the environments in which we live (a topic on which I published the book “Il colore in casa” Ed. Feltrinelli). So finally I decided to registered to the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera and graduated in Painting completing my studies.
