Cedric Hampton – Richter Park, IL

I’m an artistic photographer born in Chicago, IL. I’ve been taking photographs since my days at the University of Illinois Chicago. During my long career in Architecture I continued practicing film photography and eventually I branched out into the fine art of digital photography. Digital technology opened up an array of possibilities for expressing my love of nature and for creating a palette of thought and imagery. I’m inspired by the beauty of nature and I love being outdoors, it is home away from home. Instead of imitating life I embody my own feelings and vision of a subject or environment into each piece. My works have been described as dreamlike, personal and intimate while keeping in mind the viewer’s perspective. In 2012 I was honored by being selected into the Tall Grass Arts Association in Park Forest, IL. Here I’ve exhibited romantic and idyllic scenes of landscapes, seascapes, portraits and abstract art.
