Artist Portfolio Magazine’s 10 Art Competition
ISz Struben – Chicago, IL
Call me ISz.
I chose this name and identity because it expresses that which simply “is” – the immediate, active life state and timeless connection with all things.
It is from this connection, this oneness that my images emerge. However, it is the lack of oneness in global society that is my inspiration. I am compelled to fill the void caused by this disconnect in the human spirit. I attempt this by creating a collective of visually disparate marks; raw material for the viewer’s creative being to engage. Those participating in my imagery bring their own unique perspective to the completion of my artwork/play, and in so doing generate an atmosphere for seeing the endless possibilities of who we are and what we can become.
Hopefully, the experience will leave a spiritual afterimage that fades into the realization that we are one family in a vast universe; one fully explored and understood together. Unique individuals embracing our oneness.
