My name is Lydia. I am eighteen-years-old and art has been my passion since I was a young child.
My mother has taught me about classical art my entire life. Such as Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Michelangelo, and more. My older sister taught me about contemporary art. Learning about different types of art has influenced my own artistic style today. My favorite artist is Basquiat. I believe my favorite art stems from Neo-Expressionism. My pieces are created with Acrylic paint. Lots of thought goes into each part of the paintings. The words written create a feeling of hopelessness or uncertainty that contrast with the vibrant colors. They are meant for the viewer to decide their own meanings and emotions towards each painting.
