I am fascinated with shapes and urging metals to play nice together, even to give up their own shapes. I also love analogous colors. That’s why I live in the north; winter gives us shapes and gentle gradations of color. Add these together and you get a metalsmith living in central Wisconsin.
As a retired academic Dean, I love the peace and certainty of metal work, as well as creating new ways of looking at challenges. Like most artists, I find that the disasters become the inspiration for pushing into new territory.
I am so pleased to share with you some of my creations.
