The results are in from the voting for the cover of our upcoming Portraits Issue. Over 30,000 votes total with Yi Shin Chiang of San Francisco recieving the most votes with a whopping 9072.
Here are the top 3(4):
- Yi Shin Chiang – San Francisco, CA – 9072 votes
- Brian Henry – Metairie, LA – 6244 votes
- Marika Rateviciute – Chicago, IL – 6179 votes
- Matthew Cook – Perrysburg, OH – 6089 votes
2-4 where all so close, but Yi Shin Chiang was way ahead in the voting. All artists are so deserving.
This was our second attempt at conducting a vote for the cover of an upcoming issue of Artist Portfolio Magazine and we surpassed our first voting attempt by over 8000 votes. The top 20 artists featured in our Portraits magazine were not voted in, but they were juried in by us at Artist Portfolio Magazine.
We understand not everyone likes voting (I resisted for years) as it seems to be a popularity contests, but it also serves a purpose. Our goal is to get more people involved with the artist’s art, for people to have some fun with it and to get more viewers/subscribers to our free independent art magazine. 30,000 votes in 1 week is pretty good.
Since 2-4th place were all so close and they worked extra hard to get the vote out, all three will be recieve a nice feature in our Portraits issue of Artist Portfolio Magazine.
Congratulations to all artists and thank you to everyone who participated.

Yeah, all three of those are really good pieces of art. I was struggling to come up with a some awful pun to say about the fourth one:
-That painting is really “tasteful”
-Matthew Cook was in first, but after falling behind, he unfortunately was unable to ketchup.
-I would say more, but I heard he has a hard time taking a condiment.
All of those are terrible, but that is what I got.
