Anne Murray creates video poetry and photographic work and is currently living as an artistic nomad, traveling from one residency to another mostly in Europe. She has both American and Irish citizenship and draws inspiration from the changing borders of our world in relation to personal identity.
She has exhibited her work in many cities around the world including: London, Paris, Shanghai, Istanbul, Los Angeles, New York, Belgrade, and Budapest. Her work can be found in various collections including the White House Permanent Collection and the Collection of Prints and Photographs at the Main Branch of the New York Public Library.
She obtained a BFA from Parsons School of Design in Paris and an MFA and MS in Art History from Pratt Institute in New York City. She is also a writer and enjoys combining her written work with her photographs to create video poems.
