Emily Williams’ background in scenic painting has given her a unique set of tool and techniques to use in the creative process as she translates the essence of music into abstract works of art. Every canvas is individual and specific to a particular style of music and each combination of lyrics and melodies influence the correlating combination of colors and brush strokes. She discovered this connection within herself in the early 2000’s and has sought to be an expressive conduit ever since. Her most recent collection of works has been deemed a “Labor of Rage” and she is exploring the fine line between love and hate, creating paintings that elicit both emotions simultaneously.
