Andrea Calascione – Q1 Art Competition – Artist Portfolio Magazine

I have always been fascinated by abandoned spaces, decayed matter and objects that have been exposed to the process of time and weathering. Whilst questioning ideas of beauty and imperfection i wish to expose the fleeting nature of human beings and the environment in which we inhabit. Fragility, ephemerality and intimacy are concepts that play an important role within my work. It is important for my growth as an artist to experiment with different ways of working therefore my work differs significantly from one to the other. While keeping with my investigation and concept – I explore different medium, materials and art forms.
