My art is created from what I see in my mind. I see it as a puzzle I aesthetically put together on the substrate of which I choose to depict thoughts. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I primarily work with pastels or oil paint on wood. Many pieces are made using a surreal impressionist and pointillist style to get the desired effect, texture, and shadows from the work. My primary influences are the art from the Renaissance, Impressionist, and Surrealist masters. My work is done from thoughts and concepts I come up with prior to starting a piece. My goals in my creations is to inspire thought through the appreciation of the details. Every piece, from portraits to landscapes, are intended to be an emotional and thought provoking escape that resonates with the viewer.
