Jihyun Oh – San Francisco, CA
Jihyun Oh was born in Seoul, Korea. Oh came to the US in 2008 where she took Fine Art classes at Oklahoma State University. She then moved to San Francisco to attend the Academy of Art University where she studied Illustration and Fine Art. She received her MFA in Figurative Painting in 2012.
After Graduation, she had her solo show titled “Break Time” in San Francisco. Her paintings have been selected by OPA (Oil Painters of America), NOAPS (National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society) and have been exhibited. Currently, she focuses on portraits and small landscapes developing her skill.
She tries to capture natural life moments and discover the beauty in nature by applying an appropriate color scheme and controlling the brushwork. She wants to describe peaceful and beautiful moments.
“I feel blessed to be able to recreate beautiful moments and communicate with people through paintings.”
