Statement: I’m inspired by color, marks, and marrying materials in fresh ways to discover what emerges. From there, I distract myself in any way possible while I finish a piece, so that my mind doesn’t interfere with the process. Nothing good ever comes of that.
Bio: Michelle Mercier is an abstract painter living in western Massachusetts. Focused primarily on large-scale commissions for collectors, Michelle has also taught adult painting classes and participated in Open Studios at the Mill in Holliston, Massachusetts since 2014.
