I grew up outside of San Francisco, CA, in a beach town. I fell in love with art in high school and ended up taking my passion to San Francisco State University to receive my BA in Painting and Drawing. I love the fact that I can take a sketchbook with me wherever I travel and then bring home drawings that I will always cherish. Growing up by the ocean drew my imagination to exploring the world. Meeting new people and being faced with new challenges and environments gives me great motivation. I currently live in the beautiful state of Nevada where I go hiking, climbing, take photos, and enjoy nature. The beauty is all around us and I just try to capture the moment of what I feel at the time.

As far as my process goes, I am passionate about various types of mediums. I love watercolor for the way I can get such fine details and how they bleed together on the paper. I love the control I have with watercolor and using tiny brushes. I love acrylic for murals because I can get such vibrant colors. I like using big brush strokes and going back in with fine details. I love pastel for the soft texture and soulful appearance. Colored Pencil has always been fun for the effects of fine detail and smudging for a softer look. I spend a long time on each painting and drawing, so I choose to paint from photographs or my own sketches.
