Artist: Orlando Castro – Gurabo, Puerto Rico
He was born on July 26, 1961 in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. His art studies were conducted at Puerto Rico. His Master in Fine Arts is from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and his BA from the University of Puerto Rico.
His preferred medium is oil and its theme is inspired by the female form, often linked to the tropical landscape. Currently using the spatula and oil bars on different surface. He is very enthusiastic of the curved line and volumes. In addition to exhibitions in Puerto Rico has participated in several biennials, fairs and international exhibitions in America and Europe. His work also has been awarded locally and internationally.
