Michael Valley – Abstracts – Artist Portfolio Magazine

Michael Valley was born in Florida, raised in Tennessee, and lived most of his life in Georgia. He received his BFA and MFA from the University of Georgia. He taught at UGA with a TA positon for 2 years and an adjunct position for one year. He has also taught an Art Appreciation class at the GA. Perimeter College. He has shown at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition in New York. Valley has shown at the Lyndon House in Athens, GA. He was an awards finalist in the Art Magazine yearly national art contest in the mixed-media section two years in a row. Valley had two paintings win in the ArtSlant Prize international Internet Showcase in 2015. Valley has shown at the South Cobb Art Alliance national show and has won a merit award. He has shown at the Hudgens Center for the Arts in Atlanta and has won a merit award. Valley has shown at Quinlan Art Center in Gainesville, GA and has won two merit awards and has won Best in Show. He has exhibited locally in Georgia and nationally. Michael Valley has been developing his paintings for more than 30 years and has never wavered from creating the most powerful, intense, unique visual experience.
