Margaryta is a Ukrainian contemporary artist living and working in the United States. She creates abstract art in order to reflect and to find freedom from the modern societal constructs, to escape the pressures associated with being a young woman, an immigrant and the challenges of living with a chronic illness. Stemming from traditional art background, she responds to the limitations of the commonplace and representational with creating abstract, ambiguous images that are open to the viewer’s interpretation. Through the medium of acrylic painting, Margaryta’s dynamic paintings appeal to the senses through the use of color, line, texture, layers and space in order to inspire thought and self-reflection in the viewer.
